A quite short time into the future, the first lunar base is conducting experiments into long-term human survival and settlement on the Moon. Of course, long-term prospects for a larger colony will require reproduction, and so research is needed into the practicalities of intercourse in low gravity. Two astronauts have agreed to run monitored experiments in human copulation and I'm determined to stay professional. Will I succeed?

"Hello? It's recording? Good. I don't want to have to get up halfway through this
to adjust anything. Okay, okay."
This is log number 252 by Dr. Lexi, the chief medical officer of Kibeis Base, as part of
the ongoing Artemis colony mission to the moon. Now, as well as scientific study of
the moon, the most prominent reason we came here and established a base was to assess
the viability of a long-term human presence outside of Earth. As such, we've been engaged
in all kinds of study into the effects of the lunar environment and weaker gravity on
human psychology, physiology, and, uh, biological processes. And since obviously our end goal
will involve permanent and self-sustaining habitats in space and on other bodies in the
solar system, the question of replenishing a population will inevitably become a factor.
And part of our, well, let's be honest, my briefing for this mission is a study into
the mechanics of human reproduction and, oh jeez, sexual intercourse. Namely, what are
the effects of low gravity and various other factors upon the physical act of copulation.
Of course, we have some data. We know from simple observations that intercourse in zero
gravity is highly challenging. Problems include drifting, excess heat, bodily fluids drifting
